Poly Anionic Cellulose (PAC) is a high-purity, high-degree-substitution sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (Na-CMC), representing a premium grade within the CMC family. It appears as a white or off-white free-flowing powder with very high purity and excellent dissolution properties. Compared to regular CMC, PAC features a higher Degree of Substitution (DS) and a more regular molecular structure, endowing it with superior performance in salt tolerance, temperature resistance, thickening, and fluid loss control. It is the preferred rheology modifier and fluid loss reducer in high-electrolyte concentration and harsh environments (e.g., seawater, saturated brine drilling fluids), widely used in oilfield drilling, construction materials, and personal care industries.

PAC is a cellulose ether derivatives from natural cotton fiber through a series of complex chemical reactions and prepared, is one of the important water soluble anionic cellulose ether. With characteristics of "three high and one low": high stability, high temperature resistance, high acid and alkali salt, low usage.
